The OXYCELL® is a modular and compact counter-flow heat exchanger for use in high efficiency heat recovery/cooling ventilation systems or air handling units.
The heat exchanger is based upon our unique and patented water retaining finned aluminium sheet – designed for maximum heat transfer and evaporation.
Besides a very efficient heat recovery unit during the winter, you can also use it as an indirect evaporative cooler during the summer season.
It’s the only four season component of its kind available on the market.
During the winter season, the OXYCELL® provides fresh air with a heat recovery efficiency of 85-90%.
During the summer season, the OXYCELL® provides fresh (outdoor) air at a temperature of approximately 18-20ºC offering a reduction in overall energy consumption of up to 80% versus conventional air conditioning technology. Moreover, this indirect evaporative cooling does not increase the absolute humidity of the supply air, while reaching wet bulb efficiencies of up to 130%.
The product has a modular design offering you the necessary flexibility to accommodate for different airflow capacities as required in your product portfolios while maintaining the individual component performance characteristics.

Heat Recovery mode (HR)
At equal velocity the OXYCELL® in HR mode
outperforms competitive counter-flow heat exchangers
(up to 90% heat recovery efficiency).
Indirect Evaporative Cooling (IEC)
When the temperature and humidity of the indoor air are
more suitable than that of the outdoor air, the OXYCELL®
in IEC mode is preferred over DPC mode, resulting in a
wet bulb efficiency up to 120%.
Dew Point Cooling (DPC)
The OXYCELL® in DPC mode significantly
outperforms competitive indirect evaporative coolers
on the wet bulb efficiency (up to 130%).
OXYCELL® based ventilation systems supply fresh (outdoor) air at a temperature of approximately 18-20 °C (64-68 °F) all year round offering a reduction in overall energy consumption of up to 80% versus conventional air conditioning technology and a heat recovery efficiency of 85-90%. The OXYCELL® satisfies all the 2016 and 2018 heat recovery ventilation requirements established in the European Ecodesign Directive/Ökodesign-Richtlinie. Click here to find out more regarding this directive.
